The largest developer conference in Scandinavia, 17-18 September 2008

JavaZone is the largest developer conference in Scandinavia, and 2008 will be the seventh edition of the conference. JavaZone is arranged by the Norwegian Java User's Group, javaBin, and partners, and will take place in Oslo, September 17-18 at Oslo Spektrum.

JavaZone aims at being a high-quality, non-commercial conference for developers and other people involved in software development. JavaZone 2008 will offer a combination of technical talks, BOFs, open space discussions and an exhibition in an informal atmosphere with an expected number of 2000-2400 participants. The talks are roughly 50% Norwegian and 50% English.

The conference also has a very highly regarded ClubZone during the evening of the first conference day, where the conference delegates will have ample opportunities for mingling and socializing at various bars and clubs in the vicinity of the conference venue.

This year's conference will cover the following topics:

  • Core Java, AOP and utilities
  • Enterprise application development and integration
  • Web Technologies
  • Embedded, Mobile and Gaming
  • Experience reports
  • Methodology, Usability and Business
