Webutvikling med Clojure

Når: 11.04.2012 fra kl. 18:00 til 20:30
Sted: Apotekergaarden i Grimstad

Tom Woods tar turen for å lære oss web-utivkling med Clojure.

Web development with Clojure
I hear great things about Clojure and the way that it handles concurrency, but what about web development? The talk will start by getting to know the tools needed to setup a Clojure development environment. This will be followed by a session at the REPL (clojures interactive shell), where we will take a look at the Clojure language. After we have acquired a basic understanding of the language we move on to the Ring web server abstraction. Ring is a low-level interface that abstracts the details of HTTP into a simple unified API. In order to understand the higher-level interfaces that use Ring as a common basis such as Compojure, Moustache and Noir it is important to have a basic understanding of Ring. After Ring we take a look at the Compojure web “framework” and Hiccup - a library for representing HTML in Clojure. We end the session with an overview of additional tools and libraries for Clojure web development.

Foredraget starter kl. 18:00 og det blir servert middag ca kl. 19:00.
